From Jan. 6 – 17, the Centre Gallery at the University of South Florida will host Converge by The Focus Group, featuring works by Ariel DeWitt, Alan Phan, Scott Pierce, Hillary Reed, Jeremy Rivera, Kristen Roles, Candyce Strayer, and Erica Wold. Visitors to the gallery will encounter work that will serve as an aggregate display of the processes and styles currently being explored by the group’s members.

The Focus Group is an organization of Pre-professional Artists working through the mediums of photog…raphy, video art, and installation. Creating digitally, in film, or with alternative processes, the artists are coming together from a scope of artistic directions and conceptual intentions in one collective exhibition. Please be aware that some of the images will include adult themes and explicit content.

DessART, Centre Gallery’s opening reception for this exhibit, will be held on Jan. 6 from 12 – 1pm. The closing reception for Converge will be held from 7 – 9pm on Friday, Jan. 17, in the Centre Gallery. The Centre Gallery is located on the second floor of the Marshall Student Center in room 2700, at 4202 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, Fla. It is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
